Thorsten "Toddy" Wealde

A full time instructor toddy lives and works the whole year in Sardinia and is the owner of Protec Sardinia.

He is originally from Germany and for many years and has been involved in the diving scene in many ways. He founded a diving school in 1993 with Eva Weiss and, in 1995, he owned the Diving Centre Freiburg (Ger) which was formerly owned by Paul Munzinger. During the years as Manager, Instructor and Guide his activities brought him to all kinds of exotic places in the world like The Red Sea, The Caribbean, The Pacific, Maldives, Mediterranean and the Atlantic.

He then worked 3 years in Mexico where he gained enormous experience and knowledge in Technical diving and now can train several different Advanced levels in sport diving, from Open Water up to Technical Cave Diver up to Instructor Levels. This passion led him to the deep sink holes in Yucatan, (the cave systems in Quintana Roo) Mexico and Sardinia, Italy.

He performs courses in German and English and both he and his team are pleased to welcome you on the island!
