Normoxic Trimix

Normoxic Trimix or Intermediate Trimix opens new possibilities, some people think there are too many tasks to perform or it is simply too much to learn and would rather not. Yet, this training program is made for the ambitious (technical) divers who wish to dive the depths  to 60 meters (200ft) using open circuit scuba but do not want to breathe air below 40 meters (130 ft).

Known as Normoxic Trimix, the nitrogen percentage in the breathing gas is reduced to a shallower ’equivalent’ depth while the oxygen percentage is kept the same thereby limiting any narcosis. Whether it is reef, wreck, ocean, lake or where ever you dive. During this course you will learn and practice how to reduce your Equivalent Narcotic Depths to a maximum of 36 meters (120ft) while never breathing less than 18% oxygen during your bottom time and will train you to use up to 100% Oxygen for decompression.

After finishing this course the last step on the open circuit training ladder is full trimix which allows you to explore the rest of the deep!
