Essential Tech

This course offers you fundamental knowledge, safety and the ground structure you need to start with diving.

In case you are already a more experienced diver we are pleased to take activities to higher level and enhance your techniques and knowledge of diving, the use of your equipment, communication, propulsion, emergency situations, reel and lift bag use, different diving environments and of course the use of Nitrox!

Requirements: Minimum age 18 years, good physical condition!

Course description:

The course takes at least 3 days with approximately 3 dives, roughly 8-hours theory and dive briefings. The course is finished with a final exam. Your depth limit will be changed according to your new certification. The maximum depth after an Open water course is 18 meter. The below listed techniques will be explained and practised in different environments . Confined water dives are mandatory for the practice of special skills.

1. Equipment and proper use of the configuration
The subject of this course are use of Harness and Wing, we go deeper into the different equipment configurations and help you to adept your equipment in a way that each and every part fits properly. Control leads you to perfection!

2. Propulsion techniques
The following propulsion techniques are explained and practiced. Flutter Kick, Frog Kick, Shuffle Kick, Pull and Glide and the Back Kick!

3. Communication
In depth training with Hand signals, Light signals and Touch-Contact communication.

4. Reel & Lift bag
The use of a buoy or lift bag, configured with a line reel to send to the surface.

5. Emergency situations
Proper reaction and prevention of panic is the bases to gain control over every critical situation. Control leads you to perfection!

6. Nitrox
Understanding the principles of Nitrox and the proper use of it, on and below the surface!

7. Different diving environments
Theoretical explanations in environments like Cavern- and Wreck diving!
